Grandma’s Buns
Ingredients
8 oz SR flour
pinch salt
4 oz margarine
3 oz caster sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 egg
milk
How to Make Them
- Sift flour and salt into bowl.
- Rub in margarine until mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
- Stir in sugar.
- Beat egg and stir in mixture.
- Add vanilla essence.
- Add enough milk to make a stiff mixture (just a couple of tablespoons should do.
- Divide mixture between 12 bun cases. Grease bun tins well before filling.
- Bake for about 15 minutes at 400F / 200c / 190c Fan oven
